Why

Economists. That’s who we are. Economists without data are theorists. We are practitioners. Engineers, providing solutions for here and now.
Data. We collect it. We bring it to life. We are computer scientists, linguists, ecologists...
”Big data”? A buzzword. There is not insufficient data, rather too much. Let’s say: ‘not so big data’. Reduced to the essentials.
The essentials? Welfare – of all human kind. That’s what inspires us. Always.

Spidering

Our spidering program collects data in the internet, including: property advertisements, retailers, company addresses, artworks, news articles and social media postings.

Adscan

AdScan is our data offering based on property advertisements. We have been systematically collecting Swiss property listings since 2004. We record all categories of property and have implemented solutions for challenges such as data interruptions.

Third party sources

Not all information is online. Through research however, we’ll make it available to you.

ImmoRisk

Our ImmoRisk tool measures the sustainability of individual properties and portfolios as income risks and opportunities on a scientifically sound basis. The approach allows the benchmarking of properties and portfolios with each other and across time.

REIDA

We collect and standardize information from real estate proprietors for REIDA. We pool information on annual accounts, transactions and contract data. We are entrusted with the operation and enhancements.

Socio-economic data

We run a comprehensive socio-economic database. For our customers we adapt it to their individual needs thus building the foundation for their products and reports.

Real estate market risks

Through modelling and simulations of varying parameters, we can evaluate risks explicitly and compare different discount rates with the market rates.

Traffic volume

Data from mobile communications can show more than traffic frequencies. We are able to generate highly interesting insights with suitable data.

E-Learning

We also help others to build insightful models. To this end, we have for example developed an e-learning module for students at the Centre for Urban & Real Estate Management at the University of Zurich.

Scarcity in the housing market

We have been dealing with scarcity in the housing market a while. We have a model using insertion duration as an explanatory variable, thus allowing us to constantly monitor the topic.

Swiss Housing Market Report

On behalf of the Federal Office for Housing BWO, we are producing a detailed data-based monitor.

Potential in food retail

From communities down to hectares we can analyse demand potentials.

white label

We collect, standardize, arrange, and model data the way our customers require. And we then present it. Preferably “white label”.

The evaluation of the properties rated with ImmoRisk as of mid-2024 shows that in the ImmoRisk benchmark, 70% of sustainability risks have already been reduced.

Conversely, there is still potential to reduce 30% of the risks, the highest of which is in resource consumption.

CCRS and Meta-Sys AG have mutually agreed to end their collaboration on the Economic Sustainability Indicator (ESI) and continue the product under a new name under the sole responsibility of Meta-Sys AG.

CCRS has made a significant contribution as a 'first mover' with ESI, for which we have the greatest appreciation. A resumption of cooperation at a later date is not ruled out.

Why Who Where
Why, who, where?
Jule Verne combined his fancifulness with the newest scientific findings. We were inspired by “20’000 Leagues Under the Sea” – wanting to survive daily adventures, finding our way in data overload.
We go on adventures in the sea of data and bring the data we capture to life.
Data Collection
Charles Darwin
Charles Darwin sailed the seas and oceans and collected observations on wildlife and fossils. This was the basis of the theory of evolution.
Data Pooling
Carl von Linné
Carl von Linné formalised the modern system of naming organisms. We formalise a varity of data.
Data Modeling
John Stuart Mill
John Stuart Mill combined social and economic topics in a (mostly) progressive way. We create models to enable economic decision making for the future.
Data Rendering
The Little Mermaid
The Little Mermaid does whatever necessary to gain the prince’s heart. We do whatever necessary, to please our customers with our visualizations and online solutions.

Thoughts & ideas
Find our thought and ideas about current economic or technical questions. Signed contributions do not necessarily represent the “company view” - we believe that only controversial discussion lead to progress.
